AKC Canine Good Citizen

I am an AKC approved Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.  As such, I am able to help you achieve the training necessary to successfully pass the 10-part CGC test. All dogs who pass the test receive a certificate from the AKC as well as a CGC title after their names.

 

The CGC is a program that stresses basic good manners for dogs as well as responsible pet ownership for handlers. The CGC is an acknowledgment of the hard work you put into raising a responsible canine citizen. The training you do to pass the CGC will help you achieve your future goals with your dog – anything from being an awesome pet to competing in agility or k9 nosework, doing therapy work, participating in search and rescue, etc. Also, time spent working toward achieving the CGC will enhance the bond between you and your dog as well as ensure that your dog is a joy to have around and easy to share your life and activities with.

 

If obtaining the CGC for your puppy is one of your goals, let me help you! We will work together to teach you and your puppy everything you need to know. I provide CGC instruction privately.  We will start either at your house or mine, where we have minimal distractions, then incorporate more challenges as your puppy learns and perfects the tasks necessary. The emphasis is on fun for you and your dog, while your puppy is learning basic good manners and citizenship.
